John,
You seem to be encountering the opposite of what I normally come across.
Around here (FL) it is calls from cell phones that often don't disconnect. PRI/T1 and other land lines seem to be ok.
If you put a volt meter across the pair you can see the drop in voltage when the wink is sent...
OK, let me try to make myself clear.
F*71 is used to program an external autodial.
If you enter F71 as part of the dialing string, you will get a symbol that looks like a digital pulse.It is used to represent the Link feature. Which is something that I do not need in this instance, but only...
Customer has a 6x16 DR?
All was working fine including exernal autodial with pauses to enter LD access codes.
Then the power went out after the weekend and the system lost it's programming. Only 5 sets, so no big deal.
The GM has a M7310 which had keys programmed with external #s followed by...
senk1s? curlycord?
Please, enlighten us.
It is safe to assume that we are all professionals with technical backgrounds.
We are capable of understanding complex terms such as "more memory" or "faster processing speeds" and even idiot proof terms such as "because Nortel's compatability guide...
When using Caller ID, a CICS KSU can send the CID to more than one station.
The MICS however could not?
Is this still true?
Even with 7.1 sw?
Thanks in advance.
hawks,
I think you may be right.
The only docs that show calling in through the AA are the CICS docs.
Of course they don't mention the part about the AA having to be the internal AA.
Most of our customers use CICS but with Call Pilots instead of the internal AA.
Thanks.
I am trying to set up our customers that have AA to where I can access the RAD without user intervention.
I have searched this topic and found threads that say it can't be done in a straightforward manner and other threads that use an ATA and a spare CO port to "RIG" it.
While I am not opposed...
With only one pair there you could only make calls in one direction. Most likely using DISA on one end and LS/DS on the other.
With 2 pair you could make 1 E&M ckt (E&M on each end) and could make 1 call in either direction.
But with 2 pairs I would (and have) use a T1 with xover cable.
...providing stutter dial tone to ports on an ASM?
Specifically, I need to be able to press Feature 1 from a digital set, enter the exension for an analog set (that does not have visual MW capability)and provide stutter dial tone so the user knows they have a meesage at the front desk.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I assume you are faced with the choice of either doing a restore from the tapes or (spending many hours) keyboarding the information into the system.
I have been in your situation several times and have found the following. Look closely at the back...
The units we use have 64 mins of storage, automatically start to play when the power comes back on, can be wall mounted, can store multiple tracks (ie regular, holiday etc)
It has a USB port. Just plug it into a PC and download the MP# files.
I buy them for $149.
Are we allowed to mention names...
I too have the Harris TS25D.
I think it's great but am VERY dissappointed with the dial pad and the speaker could definitely be louder.
We do a lot of service work as subs.
For some reason almost all grocery stores put their DMARCs in the compressor room - can't hear a dman thing.
That's when...
Most cell phones have a setting -
DTMF Duration: long or short
Most default to short. Change it to long. It seems to help, but does not always fix the problem.
No.
But if someone is on site and can get you a part number, that would help.
NTAK04 = AC/DC
NTAK05 = DC ONLY
NTDK78 = AC/DC
The ones listed as AC/DC are 'supposed" to be used primarily as AC input. If you connect batteries to it using a special cable, the batteries will be trickle charged...
