    QSIG between two Avaya CM

Have you checked that Send Calling Name and Send Calling Number are set to y on the trunk groups at both ends?

    call pickup group ring ?

An alternate method is to put the stations into a coverage answer group then overflow the attendant calls to the group. All of the phones in the group will ring at the same time.

    MAP-D in CM4 / 5

I was told that MAP-D was not supported in CM4 but I did use it and it was fine. However, in the interests of future proofing we did invest in the AES server and it connects to our CTI and wfm exactly the same as the MAP-D. Watch out though if you are using DLG to connect as licenses are very...

used ports on board for digital/analog phones

For all extensions on the same board try "list sta port xxxxx" where xxxxx is the board address i.e. if you had a digital board at 01c05 the command would be "list sta port 01c05" This will produce a list of all stations on the board in extension number order.

    ODBC connect problem

Hi We are using informix as the dbms on an Avaya CMS server. Using ODBC we can extract data from tables within the database except one. We get an error message saying: [OpenLink][ODBC]RPC: Timed out On another machine we get no problems. Can anyone shed any light on the cause of this and...

Dual DSG links to Genesys TSERVER

Haven't done this using CLANs. I attached two TServers via the same MAPD simply by configuring two ASAI ports. This worked very well.

    CMS time changing frequently

Hi, anyone seen this before? We have a CMS v3r9. Since the recent auto clock changes for the end of daylight saving time, we have noticed that the time keeps jumping forward an hour, and then back to the correct time. This is seen on the CentreVu Supervisor toolbar, and in any real time reports...

    E12310 errors

Thanks to all! In response to a steer from our service provider and the comments here, we have now set all of the loggers and the network ports to 100MB full duplex rather than auto. Alas, there has been no improvement. We have a similar set up at another site with none of these errors...

    E12310 errors

Roamingkiwi. Thaks for the info. As it happens NICE Supervisor periodically reports loggers not responding. However this always clears when tested. All of the loggers and the cls are attached to the same network switch.

what is needed other than the lan card TN779B

Hi. Assuming you have ASA you have all the tools you need. On the definity you have to set up the CLAN card. change node-names ip allows you to assign the ip address for the card. change ip-services allows you to set up terminal access via the card. Your entries on ip-services will be...

    E12310 errors

Not inclined to name and shame here. I am really looking for anyone else who has experienced this problem. I can't believe that we are the first users to encounter it.

    E12310 errors

Anyone else had these? Our service providers, who are a NICE partner, seem to be struggling to eliminate the cause. I would be grateful for any help anyone can give. We are using NICE Universe 8.8 with Avaya G3r v9 and Genesys TServer. Thanks Steve

Problem with IP phones after Definity upgrade

Get your data networks guys to check that the CLAN and MedPro boards are at the correct speed for the routers. We had a problem here where the CLANs locked at 10Meg half duplex but instructions from Avaya suggested that they should have been running at 100Meg full duplex and that the routers...
