The dongle is red as you say. The IP office unit itself is what I'm talking about color-wise. The actual 406 unit and expansion units.

Hi,
I'm having some issues with the key server for our IP Office install. Some questions:
1.) On our key server (running W2003), the Key Server service starts but I don't see the icon in the corner nor do I see it listed under task mgr processes. Should I see keyserve.exe in the processes...
There are two shortcode formats and as far as I know, these haven't changed:
[8]xxxxxxx goes to N which points to a group of trunks
[9]xxxxxxx goes to Ns208622E which points to our PRI
I also have a longer version (more x's) of both which are for long distance and international calling. Both...
My dial delay time is listed in (ms) and it's currently set to 3000. It was at 4000 and I knocked it down to 3000 with the same result. A strange thing is that I reloaded an old config (where this didn't happen) and it has the same behavior.
We have a PRI and some regular trunks. It...
Hi,
I have a 406v2 running 3.2. When we dial internal extensions, no problems - everything is good. When I dial out though, during the delay between dialing the numbers and it actually dialing (so on the phone itself, you can see the numbers I've dialed on the phone but the number hasn't...
Hi guys,
Thanks - that is good to know about the caller ID and the PRI...maybe that is the difference. They are both listed as the ICLID type but on the site that picks up immediately, it is a PRI (and the area doesn't support Called ID on the lines we have). Since I do want the caller ID for...
Hi,
I'm using an IP Office 406 unit (3.something) w/Voicemail Pro. I have my incoming call route set to go directly to VM:My_Auto_Attendant. What I'm trying to figure out is how to reduce the number of rings before it actually picks up. Right now it takes 2 rings and we have another site...
Hi,
I was wondering if there's anything in or able to added-on to an IP Office 406 where I can have the AutoAttendant prompt for a name like "Please speak the name of the person you want to reach" and then have it compare to the voice recordings and transfer to the correct person. So if I have...
Hi,
Thanks for the comments all. The phone system does correctly transfer to the right person by both first and last so that part is good. What is not good is that if you have multiple matches, I get "Press 1 for ext 1234. Press 2 for ext 1235". The customer won't know who those extensions...
Well, the names are recorded and play correctly from the wav files in that dir. Any ideas why the autoattendant doesn't use them when you select a name?
I've tried re-recording (VM -> Option 5, Option 5)...maybe my problem is the recordings aren't saving? How can I check to see if the name recorded actual saved?
Hi,
I have two sites (not linked) running Avaya IP Office systems. One site has version 3.1.21 of the Voicemail Pro and the other has version 3.0.13.
At the site running 3.1.21, when I use the dial by name and enter the name... I get the person's name when I get a match. IE: Press 1 for...
Nevermind - found it. There was no timeout specified for keypresses so it would error out and go to the operator. I added a 5 second timeout and all is well. Have a great day!
