What type of lines do you have and what method of external forwarding are you using?
- Extension forwarding via routing/destination tables
- voicemail box forwarding (from within a mailbox)
- Centrex based (RBOC, Central Office line) line forwarding
Are you sure that the call hasn't...
What version of Flash software?
Older versions required a separate time adjustment for the voicemail. Try Feature 984 to see if that might allow you to check and/or reset the time...
I believe that you will need Norstar Manager 10.0 to be able to work with MICS/CICS 7.0. as the older NM 9.0 doesn't have all of the compatible map files.
Fireeater,
Thanks for the input. I've tried various combinations of turning off Feature *831, turning off the Answer function in System Programming, etc but can't seem to get the CCR to answer unless the other 2 places (mentioned above) are also turned on.
Here is the current programming...
Hello Group,
I'm working on a Norstar CICS 6.1 MR software and can't seem to get the built-in Auto Attendant working properly. There is no voicemail system. Specifically, I'm trying to get the system to answer the incoming line calls after 2 rings (which it does), then press 0 to get x221 to...
Since I no longer have the software, I can't check the logs to see how many hits the T-1 was taking, though I have also seen reboots from too many hits (though not complete software failure).
The more I think about it, the most plausible explanation would be a spike from diesel generators...
I was programming (from startup) a newly upgraded XC 7.1 system with PRI. The system was working perfectly until the building announced over the loudspeaker that they were conducting "Life Safety" tests. Not sure what happened after that because the power did not seem to go off on our floor yet...
You might give Voicegate a call. I know that they used to do custom voice prompts as an option for those who wanted something different and don't mind paying for it.
Thanks for the info and quick reply Aragon.
For further clarification, I'm guessing that even though the P2P is a really just 2 dry pairs between 2 central offices, when we option our switches with the PRI and MCDN codes and settings, that essentially makes it a PRI. Is this how you see it?
We have a customer w/a MICS 6.1 XC connected to a MICS 6.1 via a point to point T-1. We are using redirected target lines to pass DID's across to Site B which is working fine.
But the customer also wants to see which extension is intercoming/calling them from the remote site and vice versa...
curlycord,
I've experienced the same problems with the CICS IRAD, almost since they first came out. I've been completely un-impressed with the quality/reliability of the internal modems. Some work fine at regular speeds while others have to be notched down to the slower speed to reliably...
I've got a self-serving suggestion for the SF Bay Area. Contact me via email at www.zcomtech.com for more info.
Anybody know of a good, reliable technician in the Washington, DC area??
NorstarWiz, I did the NVRAM 2 upgrade (I'm thankful that it went smoothly). Still have same problem.
jerryreeve, I think I might have found at least part of the problem. All of the analog RBOC lines (Side A) are measuring higher than specified milliamp current (mid 30's and higher readings). I...
The floppy version did the trick WITHOUT the need for an extra keycode (which is what I was hoping for and expected). It's also good to have the CD version if I should need to upgrade the Access files as well.
** Thank you Narsbars !! **
The man with the Star. Very helpful in solving my...
