I think that I need to restate. I'd like to add a text box to which the viewer of the presentation can add text. Perhaps I just will make the presentation in HTML and use a form field box.
Using PowerPoint 2000, I would like to insert an editable field on a slide in a presentation. Ideally the field/box would be printable. Any ideas? I'll be looking online for answers and will post any if found. Thanks.
Installed SAV and have been using Live Update. I want to update more frequently so Intelligent Update seems to fit the bill. I have an off-line PC that needs to be updated. Will the current Intelligent Update file take a PC that has not been updated for a long period of time (ie 30 days) up to...
I woudl like to block chat use in our computer lab. Previously we did this by firewall software. We just migrated to Win2k and I have heard that it can be done by the built-in tcp/ip filtering. Has anyone done this? How effective has it been for you? Is this method prefereble to firewall? We...
I too quickly scanned your post. We do use Ghostwalker to change SIDs in DOS after booting to DOS (we do not run Ghost or Ghostwalker in a DOS window).
Did you try and see if it installed itself in Add Remove Programs? See if it is there and uninstall if it is. There are a few sites that users here visit that will change the homepage and several work as noted above. Good luck.
Running NT4 workstations, how can I prevent installation of the (accursed) Yahoo Companion. I have users who will click anything so I am looking for anyone who has run across this annoyance and has dealt with it successfully. (via permissions?) Thanks for any help you can offer

At the URL below, the page loads properly, but print preview fails to show teh entire document and printing only places text on the first (of three) page. Using IE 5.5. Any ideas on what I can do to print all three pages...
At our lab, we find that 64 megs is a minimum amount of acceptable memory to run Win 98se on our 233's. At home, I have 128 megs and am satisfied. Memory is so cheap now that the only real hurdle to adding memory, cost, is not a factor anymore.
I permit right-click access on the Desktop to get to Display Properites. In the shortcut, I may be looking for something that is not available. Thanks for the advice though.
I am looking for a shortcut for a Windows 98se desktop scheme. I work in a library and we have many games for children to use. Some games are older but remain popular with the children (eg "Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego").
We need to open Settings and set the display to 256...
