Have question on how to add additional Work Codes to the system for one of my Call Centers. The system is currently set to only have 10 work codes I have a requirement to add an additonal 30. How is this done and what impact will this have on storage on the system.

You will need to check first is that there is sufficient Free Space Allocation. Note the last item % Available. If it is greater than 10% you should be ok to continue.

Increasing the number of Call Work Codes will involve

1.Switching Data Collection off.
This means the link between CMS and Definity is taken down and no ACD Data will be recorded for this period.
2.Switching CMS to Single User Mode.
This means all other users will be logged off the system.

If you are not a 24/7 it should be scheduled out of hours. It should only take about 10-20 minutes max. Because of the downtime required, I would recommend an increase to something like 100 for future use but, you will need to check Free Space Allocation window.

After you have completed points 1 and 2 above, you can change the number of Call Work Codes in the Data Storage Allocation Window to the new limit, then modify.
Next check Free Space Allocation and make sure you still have at least 10% Available.
If all is ok, switch Data Collection back on (make sure the link comes back up with the arrow up on the status bar). Then switch system back to Multi user mode.

Hope this helps.
