ip office v2 r8.1 essential license supported phone

Hi there,

I've been looking around some documentation and I dont believe the 9600 series phones are supported by:

- ip office 500 v2
- r8.1
- essential license

Am I right?

Does anyone have a list of what does work please?

I do have the install document but I want to be sure before I spend my cash.

(I'm a home enthusiast, doing this for fun and learning).

RE: ip office v2 r8.1 essential license supported phone

This is the list that you need.

Looks as though you are OK but note that some aren't supported if you ever upgrade.

There's also a 9670 which isn't supported on any version of IP Office.

RE: ip office v2 r8.1 essential license supported phone

9600's are IP phones, so also require an Avaya IP Endpoint License for each.
Supported from R8.0 and up
Be aware that there is a release of 9608 that is not compatible with lower than 9,1 because they came with a firsware load that will not downgrade to match the control unit.

There is a complete hardware/software compatibility chart on the business partner portal, I've printed the phone section as a pdf and attached
