Hello all,

Getting ready for a new install & customer asked if users could have voicemail, but only in an announcement only format.

Basically callers would go in a mailbox, hear the greeting & then get disconnected (not being able to leave a message).

If possible, I would then suspect they will ask if also possible for a Hunt Group voicemail box do the same thing.

Can't you just forward to an Auto Attendant with no destination?

Just don't have a Fallback Extension destination on the ICR, as that is used as the timeout option of the Automated Attendants.

Thanks everyone,

We will be using no Auto Attendants at all.

This is for a County Court House & just all the departments want their Hunt Group voicemail to answer the incoming lines after x number of rings.

derfloh, we are using the IP Office mode, so how would/do you accomplish this?

Listen to the options when saving the recording you have made
Save the recording as number 4 instead of 3
This way the recording is played as a loop then disconnects.
You cant leave messages

If you save it as 3 then the caller will be asked to leave a message.

IMHO- the only redeeming feature with Embedded VM in IPOffice Mode- bigsmile
