IP Office v11.0.0.1.0 Reset Phone User Passwords

We have >1000 users spread across 25 IPO 500v2 units, and I'm in the process of rolling-out self-administration, so I'd like to reset all user passwords before giving them documentation for using the self-admin portal.

Is there any way to do this? I've exported the User and Config .csv files, but I don't see where the user passwords are set. To be clear, I'm not talking about login codes/extension login codes, I mean the actual user passwords for Avaya Communicator/Self-Admin portal. So far it's looking like I'll have to do this manually :(

Any guidance/tips are appreciated!

Thanks!

RE: IP Office v11.0.0.1.0 Reset Phone User Passwords

The password in question is column C in the User Info portion of the configuration export file. It is encrypted, so unless you're going to use the same password for everyone, that's going to be a problem.

If you are going to use some combination of User Name, Extension Number, and maybe special characters, look at AutoHotKey for Windows. I create macros all the time, where you click on the user in the center column and hit a key combination like Windows+n. Macro tabs over to the User form, tabs down to the extension number to copy to the clipboard, tabs back up to the first password field, types in maybe the company name (XyZiNc), a special character (!) and then paste the extension number, tabs to the confirm field to do the same thing, then "presses Enter" to save the change. You could move through the configurations in very little time.

Use Web Manager and multiselect edit.

Thanks for the replies! I'll be able to do what I need through the Web UI.
