Retrieving e-mails when using Outlook Express. OK every one. If you have saved a folder with a lot of files inside onto a floppy and wanted to view at a later date then here is the answer. You will notice the extension of the saved file is .dbx

First of all create a new folder in your outlook set-up. Name the folder whatever you want but suggest you just name it abc Now transfer any e-mail (one file will be enough) into it. Now re-boot the computer.

Okay, the folder that you saved on the floppy that you now want to view will have a name with a .dbx file extension - Right?
Rename this file from whatever it is and call it abc.dbx

On your desktop double click "My computer", C drive, and look for the o/e yellow folder and find inside identities. When opening up identities you will see a lot of files appertaining to your e-mail set up. Somewhere there will be a file called abc.dbx Delete this file and replace it with the one on the floppy that you have renamed as abc.dbx

Close the window down, go back to your e-mail set up and look for the folder called abc. Open this folder up and you will find inside of it all of the files that were originally on your floppy. - - View at your leisure!!!
