Hi all,
I need to remotely do an snmpset to make some config changes on some cisco equipment. i did this before and normaly I would just go in and write the config manually to startup.. but in this case we are talking about about 250 pieces, so I am trying to make things a bit easier for me.
I found this OID on cisco:
Object: writeMem
OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.54
Type: INTEGER
Permission: write-only
Status mandatory
MIB OLD-CISCO-SYS-MIB ; - View Supporting Images
Description Write configuration into non-volatile memory / erase config memory if 0.
This seems to be the OID I need to write the running to the startup config. There is something noq quite clear to me though. In the description it says: erase config memory if 0. What is zero? does it matter what integer I use to save running to startup? and wich one of the following is the right one?
should I use:
snmpset 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.54.1
or
snmpset 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.54.0 integer 1
I think the latter is the one I need but I want to make sure.
