wireless telephone & CICS 1

Customer is requesting to be able to put calls on hold remotely thru headset. I see my only option is to use a wireless telephone (Plantronics CT12) & use an analog port. Has anyone used this set up, any other set up you would recommend?

The bad side with using the Analog phone is multiple calls at one time. You won't be able to toggle as fast between all your lines. You will also have to remember all those features for ATA usage. At least the T7406e will let you do 3 a&r of lines and intercoms and feature keys.

I agree. If the user wants real functionality away from their desk, T7406e is the best way to go.

Also, there's a little hack that you can do to make 5 lines appear on the M7410/T7406/e that will make there be 5 lines + 1 intercom. Connect a M7310 to the port you want to program. The left top 3 keys and the right 3 middle keys are mapped to the handset buttons verbatim. Program these on the M7310 and then connect your base unit. The wireless units emulate an M7310, and the key programming should hold in place.

that's the 1st time that i heard about being able to put 5 lns. on a t7406/t7406e...but then you would use all the buttons and have to feature everything...good to know though
