Purchased new computer which came with WinXp Home installed on 40 gig HDD. Connected computer to insure all was operational. It was. Disconnected computer, removed 40gig HDD and replaced with 92gig HDD, partitioned and installed WinXp Pro. Everything seems to work fine but... Xp Pro apparently disabled several devices, one of which must control audio. Same external speakers and computer sounds worked fine while 40gig HDD was connected with WinXp Home software but not with Xp Pro. Anybody got a clue how to fix this/these? Help. Please!
The disabled devices are reported as: SM Bus Controller;Multimedia Audio Controller; and Video Controller. Tried reinstalling drivers for each. No go. Tried updating drivers. No go. Tried rollback of drivers. Nothing.
