Hi,
I am having problems with my PC getting an IP address from my Netgear DG824M (latest firmware) ADSL router, either by network cable or wireless. Both of these work on my laptop using exactly the same cable, so i know it isn't the router, just to make sure I reset it to the factory defaults just incase then set it up again.
I have tried the usual IPCONFIG /release and /renew
It used to work, I have deactivated my firewall software, no viruses etc. There is a wireless link active between the router with a good signal strength and a 100Mb link on the network card. I've tried giving it a static IP address but no luck.
Anyone got any ideas what it could be,much appreciated, its driving me around the bend.
Graeme
