Being able to obtain knowledge from a Tier-III like Merlinman is a rarity these days and, for Tek-Tips users, it just got that much harder.

Let's just say that there are other forums out there that are less concerned about the content of posted messages. Although people can get "set in their ways" as they grow older, merlinman doesn't strike me as being thin-skinned.

We DO have to be careful about posting anything that smacks of private commerce here; it IS part of our agreement with the Tecumseh Group that manages these forums. I've been sent a love letter about this stuff once or twice myself, so I know.

Watch what we say and we can continue helping others. Anyone can write to merlinman personally...he's not hard to find. Shall we close up this part of the conversation before things get ugly?
