Yes I know that a P1, 166 w/ Win95 is little better than an odd shaped boat anchor, but I don't have a boat.
When I purchased this machine I also installed a keyboard with touchpad, and everything works well; there are two cords, one plugs into the keyboard port, the other to the serial mouse port.
I am turning this computer over to my wife and she's not wild about the 'fancy' keyboard, so I set about scrounging up a regular keyboard and serial mouse. BUT the o/s wouldn't recognise the mouse. So I checked by replugging in the touchpad/keyboard and everything still worked. The keyboard has a serial port to attach an external mouse and a switch to switch over. I tried that but NO GO.
I don't think there are any special drivers installed, but my work with Win95 is long ago enough that I have forgotten what I did know - where they might be an how to disable/remove any that are there.
