Greetings,
I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with a problem I encountered today. I was setting up a little peer to peer network for a customer. His number one computer he wants to keep using as the primary is running win98,the second one is running win 2000 pro. I checked the box in windows 2000 that indicated to assume that this person(which was administrator)has logged on to the computer..and I left the password field blank. After booting the system the w2k computer is demanded a password in order to log in to the network, but, I didnt put one in. I wont take a blank one either...I know I can format and start over but I was hoping for an easier solution. Is it possible the name and password the w2k computer is wanting is the log in info used on the win98 pc?..the error message I receive after leaving the password blank is that I cannot access the network..
any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated
