Three days ago I removed Microsoft Office 2000, anticipating to reload a new version in the future. The next day when I turned on the pc, I received an error message saying that "Explorer has caused a page fault in module Internet Explorer...etc." The pc will not go past this point, turning it into a large paperweight.
My pc has Windows 98.
I have booted in safe mode and the same error message appeared, freezing the pc.
My questions are:
1. If I reboot in DOS can I delete MSIE so that Windows will run without it?
2. If I have to reformat and load Windows again is a new MSIE loaded at the same time?
3. Do you think my removing Office 2000 was the cause.
