We recently upgraded from a Definity G3r a new Call Manager. We retained our analog and digital (8410 and 6416) phones, with just a handful of 9620 ip phones. I've since bought one 1616 phone. Shopping around the internet I see there are a lot of ip phone choices and seems like a lot of problems. Moving forward I'll probably get more ip phones, if I can settle on one that is stable. A couple things that I'm looking for are, lots of buttons for line appearances and features (I hate it when you have to scroll thru too many soft key steps to do basic functions) and, the ability to save the contact list and or the call logs. I like the 1616, it's the phone my desk, because it has most of the features on the face of the phone, but if this phone dies or I change sets, as far as I can tell, all those contacts and call log would be lost. Help.

I believe in the settings file of the phone you can define a HTTP backup server for the extension to put/retrieve that stuff
