Where/how to view EDI/Application data side-by-side in Gentran/NT?

Hi,
here is the solution.
1)menu go to Command and click on process file.
2)select application file name from the location and click open.
3)gentran will translate and the out will
come to the given location,if you had mention the
path in relationship.if not you can see the processed file in document.
4) this is the output file, open it in the textpad or
notepad.
5) open your application data file in textpad or notepad.
6) compre both files line by line..
note: since it is Inbound, the ISA/GS/ST at removed by the gentran and in the output you cant see the id's.
since it got processed and you got the output correct indicates that your ISA/GS/ST id,s are matched and its correct.if it dosent match you see the file in In?documents.

I was pretty new to gentran/NT when I posted that
question. I am comfortable with it now.
I do look at Documents and ?Documents. I sometimes use the
Ultra Compare tool to compare output files from different runs.
I find viewing the data in the 'Interchanges' window more
convenient to see the EDI & Application format data and any
translator error messages.

I m new to this Gentran NT too. I tried to do some inboun d and outbound. I have sucessfully completed the inbound. but while doing outbound i m unable to translate the 810 outbound. It shows the following errors in the audit log.
PLease help me in this regard.
1. CommPost - While processing C:\GENSRVNT\Tutorial\PET_810.TXT, unrecognized data encountered and written to D:\\ErrorData\47.ier
2. Splitter: No Valid Interchanges Processed
pet_810.txt is the input file. I dont know where i went wrong. I checked the 47.ier...and it is nothing but the input file.
