want to install Web Voicemail, but this Error happen 1

Hi, want to install the Web Voicemail Feature on a exisiting VMpro (9.1.5) Server (Windwos 2012 R2), but the installation broke with the att. pic.

Any opinion on that?

Did you follow the installation manual?

IIS installed? Firewall? ASP.net 3.5 installed?

· Both Web Campaigns and UMS Web Voicemail require the IIS web server on the Voicemail Pro server computer to
be enabled. On Windows 8 and Windows 2012, you also need to install ASP.NET 3.5.

IIS is installed bevor VMpro installtion was made. .NET 4.5 is installed as a Role. No 3.5 aviable.

.NET 3.5 has to be installed through server manager as a feature.

I don't know but two possible problems are a) Win10 is not supported for VMPro yet, b) web voicemail is only supported on Windows server OSs.

The installation manual isn't very clear to me..

According to this, ot should run under Windows 8. Not 7.

But I'm not to sure.

Yes, But since we can upgrage W8 to W10, I was testing if that would work.

But then I get the same error as above.

Maybe a 9.1 bug?

Okkie, no matter how much you wriggle the answer will not change, UMS web voicemail is only supported on Windows servers and only if the correct IIS pre-requisites install process is followed. Stop being a plonker.

No Okkie, I'll preempt your next whine. It was not supported on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and won't be supported on Windows 10 whenever Windows 10 support is announced.

Indeed, UMS only works on server OS.

you need to install a few things on IIS for this. CGI is required among others things mentioned in the docs.

No, you are still wrong - you said you have 9.1 but are trying to quote a 9.0 document! (which is wrong, just email Avaya regarding that).

I know I'm wrong. I was just testing it for curiosity.

But, In windows 7 inste theraller, there was no option to instal web voicemail. In Windows 10 there is. Weird.

And as I mentioned earlier, when you try to install, I get the same error as topic starter.


Is that already solved by now?
