Most users dial this number via a non-display 500 set using a speed dial. Now more users are getting on this system that have digital sets. Is there a way a to block the actual digits dialed from either an ADL or ssu?
This is for employees that clock in their time from a phone and we don't want them to know the number to take away the temptation of logging from a cell/home etc.

Problem with making it an ACD is when the line is connected (non did assigned to adl) the digits of system appear on phone. Prior to connecting its ok you just see the internal dn, but when connected it shows the ncfw destination.
Will try a phantom and see. Thanks for the post gh

I've got a work around at other sites where I created a dmi that del 4 and insterts number, then created an RLI that points to my I/O pri, then end with a cdp of an internal number. All that to prevent users from cheating the system. :)
I so love working on people problems.

pbxn post the work around i would have used.. i adl 1000, that's a dsc that dials out and back in via a dgt and idc. IT would require a auth code.. tell your employee's that the auth code ties to the ext they called from..

they can't dial 1000 from external..not a did.. they don't see the idc so they don't see the internal ext.. plus the security of the auth code can trace every time punch to an ext..

faster, do an entc on the present number.. fire people that cheat..

Funny thing is until now, the actual did for the time system was the worst kept secret at our facility.
I can restrict the displayed digits on a Cisco phone fairly easily (display reads no info available) and now with this "workaround" my real fun is to change the main did of the system and listen for the fallout of folks complaining they couldn't clock in. Those complainers would be kindly referred to HR at that point.
Thanks again for the assist guys.
