I am attempting to replace .wav files in wave editor and am not successful. Do I need to reboot after making a change to the .wav file? I did save and make live?

Or is it a timing issue? Does the voicemail system need to be idle before it makes the change?

the voicemail needs to be idle before taking the change that is correct

Anyone know how I can make the system idle :)

I need this changes to take effect immediately.

Thanks!

you can restart the voicemail pro service then all calls will get dropped and you know for sure that they are all off the phone. You have a very busy system if you can't get it working within a few minutes (except if you do call recordings)
So to make sure the system is idle restart the service and you should be good.
Make sure it says "save and make live" and not just save because then you are offline and you need to be online with the VM Pro client to make changes to the active setup.

128kbps
16 nit
1 (mono)
8khz

have a look at the file properties that this is the case.

I am taking .gsm files and converting them through audacity using 128, 16, 1, 8, pcm. The first couple worked just fine. But i think it is a system problem at this point. The one that I used yesterday and worked fine isnt working today after I moved it.. This is frustrating. Thanks for all the help

good luck with it.

So I found that the .wav file is fine going into the folder but after save and make live if I go in and try to play the file it is garbled? What would vm pro do to the .wav file to make it garbled.

Try to use this Audio editing tool;
