Voice mail to email recovery after failure of internet 1

I have systems using both Embedded and Voice Mail Pro. When the internet goes down I am trying to understand how the IPO will recover.

For example if a voice mail is left but the internet is down the messages are left on the handset and the Message Waiting light goes on. However when the internet is restores sometimes these messages are reset and sometimes they just get stuck on the handset but new messages will be sent.

I have noticed that with Voice Mail Pro these messages disappear and do not get left on the handset.

Does anyone know what the protocol of the IPO is in handling these messages when internet goes down then back up?

You need to be a more clear on “Internet”.
First, VM Pro connects thru the LAN. When you say “internet”, do you mean the LAN went down?

If the LAN is down while a voicemail recording was in session, it will fail to connect to the VM pc and record the message, at least to point of LAN failure.
While the LAN is down, VM Pro cannot send out a VM email anyway.


Embedded voicemail- it records direct to the SD card.

But it cannot send vm email until the network is restored.

This happens when the local Cox company has an internet outage to the building.

The internal network is still up but access to the outside Internet is down so the IPO can not sent out via the IP ROUTE using LAN 1.
