Finally I found my old PC with all the VMX software.
To be able to reset the password you need:
CAT s/w, VMX-100 s/w (7.1.4), a natiive or English prompt set (PRMXXX7D) and a wellkown back-up (with a kown password).
Installing all this on C:\VMXCAT gives you a folder like this:
c:\VMXCAT\

When all this is OK, just follow these instructions:
(HELP can also be found in the CAT program - check the field to the upper left after pressing ALT):
When you begin the data transfer set the data speed to 38400.
A "crossed" serial cable should be used (TX->RX, and RX->TX)
Test this cable while trying to log on to the serial port of the VMX named TERM1.
Then begin to Restore the system Disk A.7.1.4.
If the procedure is running OK, you are prompted for
switching the VMX-100 OFF, and later ON.
Hereafter you are prompted for the 1 or 2 prompt sets that should be installed.
1 set of promts almost "eat" one hour of the "voice / messaging time" from the HDD.
I can also help you with other AVAYA/OCTEL 200/300 (Serenade) indtallations or maintenance, if needed.
