How many of you out there used Intuity mode vs. IP Office mode in Voicemail Pro?

I have always utilized the Intuity mode as it seems more fully developed and it allows the clients to keep the TUI to which they have become accustom (assuming they migrated from an AT&T/Lucent/Avaya platform).

My new employer has always used IPO mode I think primarily because of the better integration with Phone Manager and the trusted number capability.

What are your opinions? What do you use and why?

We use both, depending on customers needs.
If they are only interested in basic VM functionality then i prefer the IPO mode.
If there is need for fax integration or other add-ons then the intuity mode will be used.

IP Office mode has a much nicer usere interface but avaya cant be bothered to expand it to support the new features so these are Intuity only.

IP Office mode uses the same controlls as VM lite so it would seem a more logical choice fo someon upgrading (Intuity only features permiting).

This again probably boils down to the Ammerican philosophy of "Rest of the World? What state is that in?"

I'm really just trying to get someone to give me a situation in which IP Office mode would be a better solution.

My current employer uses intuity mode whereas we deploy IP Office mode only and my previous employer only used IP Office Mode. I personally HATE intuity mode. While it does have more features it shits me proportionatly. I find it is somewhat more time consuming for the end user to navigate and when training on it and providing subsequent documentation this is also far more time consuming thus costly at the end of the day. For the average client site, IPO Mode is far easier and less time consuming to deploy and train on and the average site will not require such additional features of text to speech etc.....

I know its been said but IPO mode is much easier, especially for hunt group voicemail boxes and queue messaging (no need do do anything voicemail pro).

Ever since 3.0 i've been using intuity mode exclusively. US phones with US voicemail
It has more features as you know but can also be fairly basic. Can't wait for the return of visual voice!

The main thing with using intuity mode for ease of use with phone manager, and also in general, is to join the default collect start point to a get mail.

Being new to IP Office & VMPro, I'd had trouble with doing this. Would you ming giving a bit of detail - how you setup. No problem with getting to the defualt start point. Add "get mail", OK. But I'm not sure what config on "get mail" is needed. And when I try to link spart point to get mail, it seems to connect up backwards (output of getmail to input of start point).

OK step by step

Open Voicemail Pro

Expand Default start points

Click on Collect

Click in the white area near the start icon

Click actions from the pull down menu, mailbox actions,
& click Get mail

Click to the right side of the start point in the open white area ( a get mail icon should appear)

Click on the Join icon on the button toolbar (it will depress)

Click and hold down the left button from the next boc inside the start icon , drag to anywhere on the get mail icon.

There should be a line joined from the start to the get mail

Save and make live and your done

What are we trying to accomplish here?

In Intuity mode, users are by default always prompt to "... Please enter extension and hash". If its their own extension mailbox that they want they can just press # but some user don't want to even do they. So by editing the default collect call flow (or the individual users collect callflow), they can access their mailbox without any intervening login prompts.
