11 users have VM to email working, one does not. He receives other emails just fine. I copy and paste the email address from the VM tab into outlook, and he gets it very quickly. I put my own email address into his VM settings and get nothing.

I have deleted the user and rebuilt it. I have deleted the extension, moved the extension to a different port, have changed his extension to a different number, still nothing, with his email address or my own.

Why just him? (who, as you guessed, is the boss)
What else can I try?

Thanks for your help!

Are his messages rather long and so too big to send? 1 min is 1 meg :)

Thanks for the reply.

The test messages were short- HI, THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE. YOU CAN DELETE IT FROM YOUR IN BOX.

This is one of the oddest problems I've ever had with IPO. I'm thinkning we need to upgrade to 8.X...

What else is set for him? If it doesn't follow the user/name, email address, port or extn number it must be another setting getting in the way :)

Do you actually get the vm messages or are they gone?
If they are jsut gone then check if there is a space behind the user name

Do you use his credentials for sending the messages perhaps?
I have seen this being a problem on embedded voicemail.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Is this Embedded Voicemail or Voicemail Pro?

Thanks for the replies. It is embedded VM.

^Westi- the VM are still on the phone, but they do not forward or copy to email. I will check for a space behind his name.

^tlpeter- not sure what you mean by "his credintials." Could you please explain.

If I were on a different system, I would suspect this was a license error type of problem, but we don't have that with IPO, correct?

Do you use a user's email address and login for sending the emails?

The email server does not require authentification, if that is what you are asking. There is just an IP address and a port number on the SMTP server configuration tab of system settings. It is pretty wide open.

kholladay- Thank you for the lesson in IPO trouble shooting. I ran the trace, and it showed that the IPO was indeed sending the email with a voice message attached. Now it is up to the voicemail people to figure out where it is going. My guess is into a SPAM or VIRUS filter somewhere, since it works for everyone else.

Thank you all for your help!!!

If you have a spare PC sometimes, if only for troubleshooting, this can help. The logs in hMailServer offer a lot more detail.

Sorry, forgot to follow up on this post. Once I proved the IP Office was sending emails, they looked at his copmputer, and he was blocking the emails as SPAM. Go figure...
