I have a customer with IPO 8.1 and VM Pro 8.1 on MS server 2012 R2. FYI: It is configured as one of their Domain Controllers but not DNS.
They want to now use one-x portal and I think I will have to reinstall VM Pro.
I looks like iis was not present at the installation of VM Pro. I assume this by lack of iis sites that were not created and not having an option to select VM Pro Web Component and Web Voicemail if I attempt to run a Modify installation wizard.
I just want to double check my remove / reinstallation procedures
I will back up VM Pro via VM Pro Client> Administration> preference> general> backup & restore tab
I will select all boxes and make sure to save to a folder not within the Avaya folder just to make sure it doesn't get deleted when VM Pro is removed.
I will then run the original VM Pro 8.1 setup.exe and choose remove all installed features and follow the directions.
Is this all I need to back up to get them 100% back to where they were before after I do the reinstall?
iis is now on the server. Is there anything else that I need or any installation tips not mentioned in the installation manuals. I have the installation manuals for VM Pro and 0ne-x. I read something about CGI and iis but not sure about that and I didn't see that in manual. I also have read about tomcat but not sure about that either.
Is Web Voicemail the same as UMS? I don't specifically see UMS for installation but I do see Web Voicemail.
Thanks,
Steve
