I can't the auto attendant I setup on VM Pro to answer at all when dialing my main phone number. I went into Manager and set the line on the incoming call route to "Attendant" (I had to manually type this). Can someone briefly go over the steps needed to get an auto attendant activated?

Thanks in advance,

Marc

have you created your attendant call flow as a short code entry point or a module?

if it has been programed as a module then your incomming call route needs to have a destinaton of VM:Attendant

if it is a short code entry then you need to create a short code:

sc:666 (or annything else)
tn:Attendant
Feature Voicemail Node

now set the incomming call route destination to 666

You must have AA:Attendant as a destination in your incoming call route.
However, using the name "Attendant" will cause problems in my experience, better use a name like "MainmMenu" or whatever.

The AA:Attendant as a destination is only for the embedded voicemail on the SOE. Follow the details from IPGuru and it'll work.
