All,

We're going to be setting up Video Conferencing in the near future with Polycoms Viewstation 512. I'm ordering TN556B cards for this, but wondering if there is an RTU on the PBX that needs to be activated (sys-par cust options - ISDN-BRI Trunks ___) or can I just plug this card in, x-wire and start testing calls?

I will be sending these call over our ISDN-PRI.

Any advice would be helpful.

Regards,
Chris

You'll set them up as data-mods so there's no RTU. Who is your PRI vendor? It's been my experience that only AT&T, MCI, and Sprint can sucessfully route SDS traffic. AT&T and Sprint also require that your PRI be registered for SDS traffic or you'll only work for about a month before their databases catch up and shut down SDS calling. -CL

Ahh... Very good information. I will set them up as wcbri's and go from there.

I will be informing AT&T of our needs.

Thanks,
Chris
