v3.1 with IP403DT and module DT16

Hi,

I have an IP403DT with a DT16 module (firmware v2.1(15)).
There are 10 phones connected (DT 2050) (8 on the integrated DT ports of the IP403 unit, ans 2 on the DT16 module)

What will hapen if I upgrade the IP403 unit to firmware v3.1 ?
And can I also upgrade the DT16 module ?

I think the integrated DT ports of the IP403 unit won't work.
But what about the DT16 module with the 2050 phones ?

Because, if only the integrated DT ports of the IP403 unit won't work, I can plug my ten 2050 phones on the DT16 module ?

I have tried upgrading a DT system to 3.1 and the DTs don't work properly.

The DSS buttons dont work and there are many 1 way transmission problems.

Simple answer-Dont' do it!!!!!

Don't even think there is a BIN file for DT units in 3.0 and above

IP Office 3.1 does not support this series of phones (2010, 2030, 2050 and 20DS). However they are supported on IP Office 3.0DT for which a separate product description and documentation exists

none of DT product (integrated DT ports, DT module ports, 20 series phone) are supported by 3.1 ?

Is it exact ?
So if I want upgrade, I have to use 3.0DT, what is certainly no as up to date as 3.1 or 3.2 ... And that will probably stop to be updated and followed by Avaya one day ...

2.1/3.0DT are still supported releases.

Do you have a particular reason for wanting to upgrade???

Another happy customer AVAYA who cant upgrade his switch which is why he brought IPO !!

On a 403DT with 20XX Phones, 2.1(73) is the current supported release, you cannot use 3.0 or 3.1 or 3.2 or 4.0

FYI : Same feature set as 2.1 with the addition on 45 day trial licenses. Stay clear of 3.0(DT) use 2.1(73).

I have heard a rumour that DT's may (and I stress MAY) be reintroduced into the IPO.

Not sure if this will happen or not (will be at least 4.1 if it does) it is a rumour.

Since you can't buy DT handsets from Avaya anymore and they taking in DT modules in migrate offers I don't really see that coming.

However if that would happen, I will change the PBX system I work with, enough is enough
