Hello All: I recently upgraded from G3Rv8 to G3Rv11. All went well and I wold like to backup everything to the optical disks. The disks that came with the upgade backup fine however when I try to backup disk both to the previous set of optical disks from the V8 days it says that the software on the media is different. Is there any way to use the V8 optical disks?

Thanks in advance
ED

I dont beleive that you can Ed. You would have to wipe off the V8 software and leave the Avaya part of the translations to be able to do it. I would be afraid of some kind of a software conflict to use them.

I believe that if you do a 'backup disk full' it will format the optical media and copy both the operating system and translations. Make sure that you re-label the media.

4merAvaya is right. "backup disk full" will overwrite the generic software of the G3v8 tapes or G3v9 or G3v10 tapes and make them G3v11.

4merAvaya and pepinfogeh You guy's rock! I did what you said and viola I have more backups than I need. Stars on me!

Thanks Again
