Bit of a story.. owner plugged in NEW digital camera but could not get USB connection... He noticed that from then on no other usb device would work on that port. In time, and several tries, EVERY USB port came up wit h a yellow remark tick in Device Manager and no other USB device would be recognised on those ports.
Feeling was the camera cable caused some kind of hardware damage.. but I wonder if thats possible/likely.
Trying to update the driver comes up with "access is denied".
Disabled onboard USB in bios then installed a 4 port PCI USB 2.0 card which was seen but "access is denied" treated is as the onboard ports were.
Running the driver disk with the pci card did not improve the situation...
This one is a new area for me... any suggstions??
