Hi All.
I have an ip office 500 v2 Running 9.0.0.829, for a user that wants to upgrade to R10.
They have the new R10 Licenses, and the licenses assigned show as valid.
Because the customer I have is a 24 hour operation, they can't be down log due to safety / security issues.
I put the licenses on a new card, went to the user site, powered down the system, put in the new R10 sd card, powered up the system, loaded the configuration and licenses on the new system and rebooted. Note that they have 100 + 1140 phone users.
The system came back and at every 5 minutes, the system rebooted. I asked the user if the port to the IP Office is getting hammered as the phones try to get the new software. The customer has not responded yet.
I even asked the customer to turn down phone ports to stop the possiblity of a flood, but I was advised he couldn't do it... go figure.
Do we have to go to 9.1.xxx first before going to R10? My test unit has every license possible, and has been upgraded regularly since it became mine.
I looked in the support site documentation but I don't see anything like that.
The only other thing that changed was they added (without telling me) two SCNs. I don't know who did it... but the customer said it was authorized by the President of the company, so...
I am thinking of telling them to set up a tftp server with the files, but you know customers.
