I am aware of the ad issue if you try to upgrade ad2000 to ad2003 and you have exch 2000 running, that it mangles 3 non rfc complient attributues. In MS q325379, they state that this WILL NOT be the case if you have applied Exchange 2000 SP3 to your exch 2000 server. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes. I still followed the procedure to be on the safe side, but no mangling occurred.

thanks...so you are saying that you still did the inetorgpersonprevent.ldf script?

Yes. Since I had already applied SP 3 to Exchange it didn't actually change anything, but with this type of change I wanted to be sure everything was right.

Plus, when I first started looking at that article last year for an upgrade of my test environment, it had two problems: 1) It didn't mention that Exchange SP 3 corrected the problem 2) The LDF script was incorrect. They updated the article a few months later (before I did the upgrade in production) so that made me even more cautious. Everything did work fine though.

When I read article 325379, I don't see the reference to not having to run the script.

Please see thread955-1101454

Am I good?
