Did update in 2 separate manners.
1. Created new database, went to external data, selected all the fields from table, query, forms, reports etc and imported into database. Deleted table 1 which was created upon forming db. Some of the data in the a table did not import accurately. This is a table with annual entries from 2001 to 2010 containing data. Some of the data imported correctly and some of the data duplicated itself over several years. Each year should have different entries.
2. Opened access2007 and opened the database from 2002. Did not import. The data appeared to be correct for the several years.
Does anyone have any idea why data from a table which has several thousand records would duplicate itself at random records.
I hope this description of what I did makes sense. It is a complicated database with different queries and tables to be updated and modified yearly.
