Hi There,
is there a way to do an unsupervised transfer of a call while it's still ringing on 96xx ip phones ? i don't want to wait until the other person answers the call to do my transfer.
Thanks

There is no need to wait for them to answer. Simply press the TRANSFER button after entering the extension to complete the transfer process.

I.E. TRANSFER + 201 + TRANSFER then hang up.

I do not have any TRANSFER Button on my 9650!!!

No. You can point the call, based on the incoming caller ID, and send it directly to the destination you want in the incoming call route.

i don't think this is gonna help me!
all i want is for my receptionist to be able to transfer outgoing calls to her Boss before the other party answers the call

You cannot transfer a call that is not already there.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

sounds like a candidate for call forwarding.

This is one area where analog line will work better... You CAN transfer an outgoing call that is placed via an analog line while it is still ringing - simply because IPO has no idea if it has been answered or not.

TAPI can do that, install TAPI on the PC of the receptionist and link the TAPI to the boss phone.
Use the windows dialer.exe to dial the desired number and the phone of the boss will ring, if he takes the call then the external number will be dialled.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Or indeed phone manager, then she can also set his forwards for him etc :-)

I did not mention that because if she already have a PM of her own then that can be confusing, actaully I have a customer running two PM's for this purpose and she is very happy with it.
