Unprotecting option buttons and check boxes in excel 1

I have used option buttons and check boxes in an excel spreadhseet which work perfectly....

...until that is the spreadhseet is protected.

When protected it won't allow me to select then.

Any help would be appreciated !!!

Here's some more info !

The Option buttons and check boxes seem to work on a protected sheet until I link them to a cell. Then they no longer work.

Please has anyone got any ideas !

What am I doing wrong ?

Have you unprotected the cells that they are linked to?

Use Format/Cells/Protection and untick the Locked checkbox for the linked cells before protecting the worksheet.
