I was wondering if anyone could recommend a Unified messaging solution, we have an option 11, with Symposium, Call pilot and OTM. Basically we want to be able to get fax messages to users desktop based on there DID number. Any responses would be helpful.

You can use Desktop messaging that's included with CallPilot but you need fax and desktoplicenses. And you must have an own DID for the fax. You can't combine fax and phone with the same number...

Thanks for the information I will look into this!!!

You can combine FAX and Voice on the same number, please refer to NTPs for callpilot. If you choose the Desktop and get the fax licenses you will also need FAX ports to be setup on the Callpilot and Meridian 1. It works great. The only trouble with using 1 number for both voice and FAX is how to receive fax's during normal business hours.

Thanks for the response guys!!! mluckie1 are you saying that it would be better for us to have separate numbers for faxing to the desktop? Also can you guys recommend any other vendors besides Nortel?

Depends on how often users get FAX's. You can set up both FAX only and Voice/fax mailboxes. As far as if you want to add FAX service to desktop rightfax can do it but that can be costly.

Ok, thanks for the replies!!!
