When I try to do an unconditional transfer from 121 to 111. The user at 111 voicemail won't pickup. I have turned off the voicemail for 121 because I want all calls to now go to 111. We had a salesman leave the company and still need to keep the extension until we hire another person to cover this extension.

Thanks,
Tom

Doesn't work like that, VM goes to the original target or nothing....unless you tick it :)

There are at least two ways of doing this.

1. Make an ICR for the 121 DDI pointing to 111 + tag it with the name of ex-salesguy.

2. Delete User 121 and make Hunt group "salesguy" - number 121, w/voicemail and extn 111 as a member.
Add voicemail access for 121 to 111's source code or have it forwarded to email. On user 111 enable call history for the hunt group.

In both cases 111 will see that the call was made for 121 and answer accordingly.
The last one might be the best solution, as the voicemail greeting can be different from 111s

Kind regards

Gunnar

3rd way
create a short code for mailbox drop & set that as the forward unconditional on the user

sc:#111
tn:#11<UserName>
feature Voicemail collect

forward unconditional to #111
