Hi all,

I have recently configure the avaya ip office R7 for one of our customers.
The difference for this customer is that one of my sales guy actually had the ISDN to subscribe for Private numbers.
Thus all outgoing calls now are private/unknown/blocked numbers.

I have read though all the help files and do not find anything usefull where i can "disabled" this block though the avaya IPO.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

The carrier typically has full control over outbound caller ID, unless you request otherwise. IP Office can send any number you want, but the carrier controls how it goes out to the world. Work with them.

Thanks for the quick reply, piethief.

So lets say i get the provider to disabled this private number that we have accidentally subscribed.

Is there anyway that the customer can have this private number feature turned on on the Avaya IPO?

I have only manage to try a shortcode 9N / NW / Dial so far to make it show the main number.

Indeed, the "W" is for withheld but it is sending the main number so your provider must change this for you.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks for the comments guys. Been great help.

So from what i understand, there is no way the Avaya IPO can actually "toggle" private/block numbers whenever i want to?

As they are gonna do some tele marketing...

Yes you can but the provider must allow this.

Thx tlpeter!

I will check with my provider.

Where can i find this "toggle" or create a shortcode of what kind in the manager of avaya ipo?

You understand wrong.

You cannot override the carrier block without requesting the carrier.

The IPO can be programmed to withold CLI or display numbers. If your carrier does not honour these settings, you either have a problem with the way you have programmed the system or with your carrier.

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

As you already have:

9N / NW / Dial will withold (when your providor allows)
8N / N / Dial will send the number
