So for some reason when i logged into the Voicemail system i had the idea that i would finally actually go through and run an update that had been notifying me for about a year in the admin portal. I ran 1 of the two, and then success!! Woo woo, so i decided to just run the second one since the first was such a success. I noticed after that it was actually an update going backwards in versioning. After letting it sit for about 3 hours and got nervous. It was completely down and wouldn't come back up. I can SSH into the system, have access to view all files and have all of my daily backups of the database/vm information. So i think i will be OK, but after doing some investigating it seems like have the files are missing from the Admin web page, so i am unable to administer any repairs/updates/or anything according to any existing manual since its all supposed to be in the web console that is broken.
From here i believe i have two options:
1. Wipe the thing, hope i can get it factory defaulted, run any updates i can and restore the database. But i am nervous this wont restore any of the currently broken functionality and i couldn't find any original installation media if there was any, my previous boss installed this thing in 2007.
2. Maybe get a download from someone here of a copy of those html/php files to access the web admin to run the update again.
or 3. if anyone knows if i can install the update manually from command prompt that would be helpful, but my linux that old is slightly difficult to work with.
Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks
