Some assistance if possible. May seem a really simple solutions but cannot get it to fucntion correctly.

We have a link established and can dial accorss sites, however.

By manual activation on Manager the client would like to be able to;

Site A would like to be able to call forward unconditionally to site B Reception Hunt group

Site B would like to be able to call forward unconditionally to site A Reception Hunt group

I have tried crating a dummy user with a forward to the other sites huntgroup but its not working is not working here it just gives silence or automatically puts the call on hold

1. Make sure the the groups at each site are different numbers
2. Example you want calls from A to got B where the group number at B is 3001
Creat a short code at A as follows
Short code 3001
Dial 3001
Line Group: The number of the line going to site B
Feature Dial extension

You should be able to dial the number and it shoud rout accross the link and dial the group on B.

Forward you calls to this number

[cheers]

The above is all done. There is No extension conflicts at all.

Are you able to Dial the reception group @ site B from Site A. Does the call connect OK. ?

Are your VPN (VoIP) lines configured as default ?

I am not aware of any issues relating to the issue you are trying to get working.

Umm anotherprivatebuild !!!

We use 2.1.35 I have not used 27. Can you phone from system A to B. Do your VOIP lines have the same number both ends. Have you unchecked "Allow Direct Media Path

I can ring accross fine from A - B and from B - A.

But I can't make use of any of the groups at each remote site.

Can you phone from site A to a group at site B and visa versa?

I would recreate the VoIP lines keeping them default. Change the codec to G729a, and tick VoiceNetworking.

And post your group dialing shortcodes so we can see.

VOIP lines are set @ G729. Voice Networking ticked.
Boths units on 2.1(27)

Shortcodes.

Site A
Number SiteBHGNumber
DIAL SiteBHGNumber
Line 10 (Voip)

Site B
Number SiteAHGNumber
DIAL SiteAHGNumber
Line 10 (Voip)

I have set a Hunt Group with the local extension and also a dummy user with an unconditional forward to HG @ the other site.

This is done on both sites.
Still not functioning.

If you can dial extensions, but not groups, your problems are in the shortcodes. The shortcode for dialing groups across a SCN link should be as follows:

Site A
Number: SiteBHGNumber
DIAL .
(The . indicates that the short code should output the digits as dialed.)
Line 10 (Voip)
Feature: Dial

The dummy users you created should ideally work. Make sure that you have ticked you have "Forward Huntgroup calls" ticked under the forward tab of your dummy user.
