Hello all, and Happy New Year. I've just set up a new Trunk Group for some ISDN PRIs that we have, and am now pointing our main 800 number to these trunks. I configured them as Mega800 in my Definity, and everything seemed to be working great. Until I heard that people in Canada and other International locations were getting a busy signal. I contacted my provider, wo put a trap on the number, and they said that the problem is in the PBX, and that I had to configure the trunk group as I800. When I made this change (in the middle of the night when call volume is lowest) I dialed our 800 number from my house (domestic) and got a busy signal. So I changed it back to mega800, until I can figure out what is wrong.
The trunks that used to carry the 800 traffic were not ISDN-PRI, and were set up as tie trunks. I have one other IDSN-PRI trunk group, which is set up as ISDN and tie. My next step is to change the mega800 to tie and see if that works. Unless you, oh wise ones, can offer me some advise!
