Is it possible to transfer a bridged appearance call to voice mail? I have a user who occaisionally picks up bridged appearance calls for her supervisor. If they ask for the supervisors voice mail, she tries to transfer the call by using the following sequence: Transfer. Dial Extension. Send-Calls. Transfer. All she gets is dead air when doing this. What method should we be using?

If she picks up on the supervisor's lines, she should be able to transfer to the supervisor's extension and it automatically go to vm. Make sure that the assistant has at least 3 appearances of the supervisor's extension.

I think it goes:
1. Transfer
2. Dial the ext. number
3. Transfer
Thats it

If the user tries to hit transfer. dials the extension and hit transfer again she gets dead air.

Create an AutoAttendant in Audix, addressing format = extension, extension = e and treatment = call-answer.

Then the user can dial the AutoAttendant number, enter the extension that she wants to transfer the caller to, and the call will go straight to VM without ringing at the station and/or following the coverage path.

Intuity audix has what is known as a guest password. With this enabled I have setup speed dials that admins can transfer to. The speed dial first dials the audix hunt grp number, then enters the ext, then guest password.
The caller doesn't even have to sit through the normal mesage that the user has recorded, they just hear please leave a message for xxxxxxxx.

Cant she use the direct transfer into audix using transfer to audix access codes. For me it is transfer #6 transfer. I have this on the third page of the feature access codes screens.

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.

Yes that should work on a bridged call.

Have you got an express messaging mailbox set up in Audix? If so you shoudl be able to express message into her mailbox.

I believe the problem can also be solved on the 2nd screen of the station record. Change "Auto Select Any Idle Appearance" to "Y" and that may do the trick.

I have a "transfer to audix" hunt group setup. You can dial the extension and get prompted for the mailbox that you want. For some reason, this does not work when the user who answers the bridged appearance tries to send the call to the owners voice mail box when he is on the line. If he is not on his line it works fine.

First of all, on a transfer from a bridged-appearance you must have dialtone to accomplish the call, if you are getting dead air then after pressing transfer you MUST press ANY available call-appearance button to get dialtone, then dial the transfer-to digits and press transfer to complete the call. No dialtone, no transfer.
