1-700-555-4141 will tell you who your long distance carrier is. If you have a toll free number set up you should be getting a bill for it from whoever it is. Normally you would probably have it set up with either your LEC or long distance carrier.

dialing 00 to get the long distance op, will not tell you who is providing your toll free number.

You need the RESPORG or Responsible Organization number. Around here, you can call regular telephone company repair service, and at the automated prompt, enter 800 for the area code and the number, and it will come back and say "that number is handled by XXX company, call xxx-xxx-xxxx for repair".

The number to the RESPORG service is 800-337-4194. You enter the 10 digit toll free number, and it tells you what it knows... responsible company, trouble reporting number, and then if you want you can hang up, or enter another number. Hope this helps.
