Can someone provide some insight on the wiring specs for this?

The PicTel has an Ascend Mux that connects to it with 4 BRI ports on the back.

Do I need to build 6 Data Mod's on the 8700 to achieve 384k?

I just can't remember, it's been so long...

Thanks all,
CJH

We use 3 data mod's for vidio at 384k

How'd you x-wire them?

Thanks,
CJH

Each data mod has 2 DN's, each DN uses a channel on the TN2198 single pair digital port (digital ports have essentially 2 "B" channels and a "D" channel just like a carrier provided BRI)
A 66 or 110 block is divided into 12 4-wire connections using the first pair from each port ie: port 1 pair 1, port 2 pair 3, port 3 pair 5, etc.

Ok - So I built the data modules as:

display data-module 9661 Page 1 of 2
DATA MODULE

Data Extension: 9661 Name: *Polycom Board Room
Type: wcbri COS: 1
Port: 02C1001 COR: 1 Multimedia? n
TN: 1

ABBREVIATED DIALING
List1: enhanced

SPECIAL DIALING OPTION:

CIRCUIT SWITCHED DATA ATTRIBUTES
Default Duplex: full Default Mode: sync Default Speed: 64000

DATA MODULE CAPABILITIES
Default ITC: unrestricted Default Data Application: M2_A

BRI LINK/MAINTENANCE PARAMETERS

XID? n Fixed TEI? n
Country Protocol: 1 Endpt Init? y SPID: 966101 Endpt ID: 01

I x-wired the jacks to 3 ports on the TN2198 (skipping a pair inbetween on the TN2198 block). I plugged the NT1 in and all 3 lights went solid (making me believe the links were good). I then status the data mod and it shows disconnected. Would the spids be the reason its shows disconnected??

Am I only supposed to x-wire 3 pairs or 6 to get 384K?

Thanks all,
CJH

On the TN2198 there is 12 ports and they are the first 12 pairs on the blocks. The default ITC is id restricted and the Default Data Applocation is MO on all of our vidio ckts. We don't need to inter spids in the polycom like we did when we used Verizon ISDN lines.
