I am installing a ne IPO for a company that uses Adomo voicemail. The Adomo people are telling me they can support QSIG or DSE. Which would you recomend? I have only ever used the VMPRO on the IPO.

There is a way to turn on/off the light of a digital station

To turn it on
shortcode: *91*N#
T Number: N"; Msgs=1"
feature: DisplayMsg

Off
shortcode: *92*N#
T NUmber: N"; Msgs=0"
feature: DisplayMsg

Maby you can do something with it.

Thanks for the input. I will give talk with these people and see what they can do.

Is their anyway to keep that message waiting lamp on until the phone is called and told to turn it off? If the person picks up their handset it goes off immediately.
Thanks!

What version are you running.

Im testing at home and running 3.0 (59) with a 5410 station.
The light stays on till i use the shortcode to turn it of.

I was using a 4406. When you use a third party voicemail via QSIG do you check none under the voicemail settings.

I found out that if you have it set to PC then it works as big70 describes. When I set mine to Group to do some testing for an external Octel voicemail connected to the IPO, it does light the light, but the light goes out when you pick up your handset, just as you have described. I found that if the shortcode used the actual Name of the extension instead of the Number it seemed to work, but I wasn't smart enough to know how to create a single shortcode which would do this. I ended up creating several shortcodes, but then I thought this would be an administration nightmare since the Names on the extensions could change. The system I was testing thsi on was a 406V2 3.0 (59) with a 5420 station.

You can change the shortcode to this:

To turn it on
shortcode: *91
T Number: U"; Msgs=1"
feature: DisplayMsg

Works for all users

Thanks for the reply. I will try this next week.
