I am installing a ne IPO for a company that uses Adomo voicemail. The Adomo people are telling me they can support QSIG or DSE. Which would you recomend? I have only ever used the VMPRO on the IPO.

E1 PRI supports ETSI, QSIG A and QSIG B
So i would say you must use QSIG.

Does anyone use third party voicemail with the IPO often?

We use third party voicemail on diffrent brands whitout problems.
We use Q-sig E1 and with POT,s works for us.
You only have to find out the right settings.
If we use an new third party voicemail i always make a lab at work, before going alive at a custemor.

I would love to test this in a lab first. Te only problem is that They can't bring it off their old system until it is time to move. So that doesn't give me much time.

Is their any tips you can give me on how to get the third party voicemail to turn on the message waiting lamp or anything else I may need to know. I looked thru the Doc's and cant find anything on it. Thanks for the Help.

Adomo is coming on site. I would just like to have my act together first.

Strange, a PRI card costs more then a 4 port VM Pro license.
What is so special about the Adomo?

The Adomo has greater integrartion with exchange and integrates with Active directory. It also overcomes the OWA problem and keeps syncronization when checking voicemail thru OWA. Avaya cannot synchronize with OWA. OWA does not support the MAPI client. The only way you can get your voicemail to show in OWA is to send it as an attatchment. When you do that it doesnt synchronise with you telephone. Adomo can, becouse it actually stores messages on the exchange server, and requires no installation to the customers desktop. We did not sell them this device, but I do see why they like it.

Every site is different!... understatement of the century

I should be on captain obvious

Have you looked at Call Attendant Office from ObjectWorld.com. We resell this as well as teh VM Pro and others.

Today is the big day to hook it up and we are having a problem with no audio. The voicemail see's the call and the extension number just like it should, but we have no Audio. Thanks for Any Help on this!!!!!!!

We finally got it to work. They had to do an update on their side. Thanks for the help.

New Question. I need to set up a short code that will forward the digits of the extn that was called to the voicemail so that it will no wich box to send it to.

The important character to use in the shrot code telephone number field is "E" prefix it with "D" to send it as DTMF or "S" to send it as a CLI, there are other options avialble, check the manager help files for more information

Thanks for the input. The other problem we are having is we cant get the message waiting lamp to light over the QSIG link. I looked it up and found a document that the IPO supoorted MWI according to the international QSIG standard. I did a monitor and it looks like I am recieving it, but no light. Any Ideas?
