The ol' 'Outlook blocks Access attachments' question 1

Friends,

I am pretty versed in two methods of getting OL2K to allow access (mdb) attachments. We use SR-1.

1) Is the regedit hack.
2) Add software.

Both 1 & 2 are not going to be permitted here.

Is there any other trick - for instance, on Groupwise you could rename the .mdbs and trick GW into allowing them - that might get an Access db into someone's inbox? We do not have network shares so are almost reduced to burning cds...pain!

Have you tried the extension change yet?
(i.e. database.dud to send, then receiver changes extension back to .mdb?)
Works for me...
 
Thanks. I didn't even try out my own trick! shameful!

I have an added tip: associate .dud with Access on your and your recipients' comps so that they don't have to rename the file to open it.
